Budget Build. In for a partial restoration this 64 Valiant received a host of repairs from metal and paint to mechanical upgrades. Originally a California car this Signet traveled east to Illinois before finding its way to New Jersey. Beginning with a very solid car is a sure way to restore a classic car on a tight budget. SRC can help find you the right car with a pre- purchase inspection. See our PPI write up for details.
Caught in a winter storm the frost bittenValiant made it from Illinois to New Jersey.
Some not so comfortable seats will be disassembled and repaired.
A recent rebuild on this 318 made the purchase of this car the right choice for a budget build.
Our mechanical checklist included a camshaft upgrade along with a dual plane intake and larger carb.
To be sure the Valiant was fed with clean fuel we installed new fuel lines, tank and sending unit.

On to the bodywork we discovered some problem areas in both quarter panels.
After we completed all metal repairs we laid down epoxy primer to seal up our repairs until we were ready for paint.
Without the need of a full respray we had our local paint vendor photograph the existing paint so that a perfect color match could be mixed for our repairs.
With the larger repairs completed the new owner can tackle some small weekend projects to wrap up this budget build while still enjoying some drive time.
